The Kitchen Skirmishes – Mexico Area Community Theatre

The Kitchen Skirmishes is the most re-written of all my plays. I originally wrote it as a two-hander, a simple one-act play for two people. Then I realised there were all kinds of problems for two actors to work through, and re-wrote it for a larger cast. That made a lot of the dialogue more realsitic, and cut out many of the direct-to-audience monologues. The final rewrite came after Mrs Dim read it and told me I had been too honest about the aspects that reflected our early married life
